There are The Never Ending Love Storysome superstars who have no desire to revisit where they came from, and then there's Denzel Washington.
The Academy Award winning actor was born in Mt. Vernon, New York and recently took a trip back to the city. While home, Washington took the time to pay a visit to a very special lady in his life: his childhood librarian.

"She ALWAYS tells the story of how she gave Denzel Washington his first library card and how she remembers him for his unique name," Imgur user OpenFaceSandwich wrote, saying his friend's grandmother used to call him "'the cutest thing.'
"So for a while several parties have tried contacting Denzel to no avail, but her nursing home struck gold when they tried to reach out to him in time for her 99th birthday.
"For her birthday she spoke on the phone with him, and said he would be near her in December, so he stopped by to say 'hi.'"
Hence the beautiful reunion photo of the two.

What makes things even sweeter is that the birthday girl makes adorable scarves every day. She made three for Washington, one of which is gently draped around his neck in the photo. What a duo.
