Brangelina began just over ten years ago, when the pair met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2004. Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, but they split in January 2005. Before long the speculation began. In April of that year, the couple was spotted for the first time on a beach in Kenya.
Pitt and Jolie were later pictured at the premiere of their movie at the Mann Village Theater in June 2005, separated by producer Arnon Milchan.
The Hollywood couple grew cozier throughout 2005. By November, Brangelina was just beginning to morph into the power family it came to be. Pitt carried Jolie's daughter Zahara through New Tokyo International Airport ahead of press events for Mr and Mrs Smith.
The pair went beyond Hollywood in the months that followed. Pitt was soon introduced to the world of international humanitarian work. He joined Jolie, then a United Nations goodwill ambassador, to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Later that year, the couple took a trip to a number of developing Asian countries, including Cambodia, the birthplace of son Maddox. The toddler was pictured with his parents riding in a cart through the streets of Mumbai, India.
Brad and Angelina nevertheless stayed loyal to their Hollywood obligations. Red carpet appearances were usually flawless and featured Angelina wearing a long, sleek, neutral-colored gown at the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards in 2007.
By this time, Angelina was pregnant with twins Vivienne and Knox, the last of the couple's six children. She wore a looser gown but they still remained flawless at the premiere of Changeling at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
Brad debuted a new 'stache and Angelina went back to her usual choice of dress later that year, when they attended the premiere of Brad's film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, in Westwood, California.
As they continued working the red carpet, the more seasoned pair explored new looks. Angelina went for an unlikely updo and Brad put on a scarf for the Berlin, Germany premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
As Angelina continued her work as a goodwill ambassador to the UN Human Rights Council, Brad came along for more global adventures. Years before the current conflict in Syria, the couple travelled to Damascus and met with an Iraqi refugee family there. They're pictured after the meeting at a nearby hotel.
Outside of global affairs and Hollywood glamour, Brad and Angelina made time for American sporting events too. They brought Maddox to Super Bowl XLIV at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida in 2010.
That same year, Angelina starred in The Touristalongside Johnny Depp. The couple gave a cheerful display, per usual, at the movie's premiere in Madrid, Spain.
Months later, the Hollywood power couple arrived to the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles to watch the opening night performance of the Tony-winning God of Carnage.
The pair sported matching dark hues for an appearance at the Hollywood premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey, Angelina's long-awaited directorial debut. Brad debuted longer locks.
The coupled smiled and glowed at the Cinema for Peace Gala ceremony, held on Day Five of the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival.
Just weeks later, they arrived to the 84th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood, decked in all black and still glowing.
The entire family came out for a trip to Tokyo in the summer of 2013. Brad was promoting his most recent film, World War Z, in which he played a United Nations investigator. They're pictured arriving at Haneda International Airport.
The jet-setting clan made another one of their many airport appearances at LAX the following year on June 6.
Less than a week later, the couple flew to London to tend to Angelina's humanitarian work. They looked at art work being showcased at the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict at the ExCel convention center. By this time, Angelina was a special envoy for the United Nations.
The couple walked the red carpet outside the Museum of Modern Art in New York City for the WSJ Magazine 2015 Innovator Awards.
The very next day, on Nov. 5, the Hollywood stars would make one of their last red carpet appearances together.
A tuxedo-clad Brad and sequin-wearing Angelina walked the carpet for the Hollywood premiere of By The Sea, a film in which they both starred.
