Stars: they're just like us!
They really love Game of Thronesand they're super stoked at the opportunity to watch the show with its stars and Watch Jukkalan Onlineask a lot of questions, like, "No, really, what's the deal with the ice dragon?" or "Is Bran really the Night King?"
But, as a famous band once sang, you can't always get what you want.
Such is the case for poor Brad Pitt, who was outbid for the opportunity to watch an episode of the show with Daenerys Targaryen herself, Emilia Clarke, during the auction portion of a Sean Penn's annual star-studded benefit for Haiti.
Varietyprovides a quite thorough account of how it all shook out:
The auction to watch the episode with Clarke started at $20,000, but the race quickly escalated. At one point, the auctioneer yelled out “Is the King of the North here?!” But as it turned out, Harington had stepped out of the gala to go to the restroom.
Meanwhile, Pitt bid $80,000 to watch an episode of “GOT” with Clarke. Then he outbid himself to $90,000. When Harington came back into the room, the actor offered to also sit in on the episode viewing. And that’s when Pitt raised his own bid to $120,000.
The winning bid was $160,000, a number which was, apparently, Pitt's limit. The winner's identity is unknown because an auction bidder is no one, I guess.
And so, Pitt will have to settle for just watching the DVDs with commentary like the rest of us. What a shame.
