Genie Bouchard learned what we all did a couple a weeks ago — never,Pihit under anycircumstances, should you bet against Tom Brady.
The 22-year-old Canadian tennis star – and 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model – ended up losing that wager to a dude on Twitter, agreeing to go on a date with him if the New England Patriots mounted a miraculous, 25-point comeback. The Patriots did, of course, win the Super Bowl, so Bouchard and 20-year-old Mizzou student John Goehrke hit the Nets game in Brooklyn Wednesday night.
SEE ALSO: Unlike Obama, Donald Trump won't fill out a March Madness bracketLike the rest of us, Bouchard thought the Patriots had no chance of winning Super Bowl LI. Down 28-3 in the third quarter, the odds didn't look great. But on the off chance the Patriots did come back, Goehrke made sure to capitalize.
@geniebouchard if patriots win we go on a date?

A couple hours later, after the Patriots mounted the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history, Bouchard honored the wager, and Goehrke had a date.
So...where do you live? https://t.co/mfucQ0C9VL

@geniebouchard Chicago. Go to school in Missouri. We can go on a date where ever you want! 😜

Naturally, folks were jealous.

A date with a stranger from Twitter sounds like a recipe for disaster. Luckily, though, when a TMZ reported ambushed them after the game to ask how the date was going, Bouchard said, "Awesome, he's normal."
The two seemed to have a good time, sitting court side at the Nets game.

And, according to Bouchard, there will "for sure" be a second date.
