If there's anyone out there who can I Would Rather Kill Youshame you into buying a ticket for Crazy Rich Asians, it's definitely the director of the blockbuster film and one of its many stars.
Director Jon M. Chu showed up to a movie theater with Ken Jeong in tow this weekend. They apparently ran into three kids in the lobby who were spending their night seeing... The Meg?
The teens were quickly talked out of their choice.

And rectify it he did.
In the video, the "dudes" are seen laughing at the absurdity of the situation, and one of them even rips up his ticket for The Megto prove that they are definitely seeing Crazy Rich Asians.
"I didn't bribe these kids, relax," Jeong says in the video. "We're all happy and in the same studio family — as I'm hiding the beer behind my back, lemme tell you something. These are my sons," he jokes, "and I have convinced my sons to watch Crazy Rich Asians...I didn't pay them $20 each. Just everyone, relax. It's fine."
$20 for being a part of a historic weekend? Sounds pretty much priceless to me.
