The Cat 3 moviescharacter roster for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinitegame leaked today, revealed by the same NeoGAF user who correctly leaked the existence of the game before its public reveal in December.
The current roster for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infiniteis below with the newly leaked characters in bold. Just remember that this is from a leak, so it may not be completely accurate and may be missing some characters that have not yet been announced.
Arthur
Chris Redfield
Chun-Li
Dante
Firebrand
Jedah
Mega Man X
Monster Hunter
Morrigan
Nemesis
Ryu
Spencer
Strider Hiryu
Ant-Man
Captain America
Captain Marvel
Doctor Strange
Gamora
Hawkeye
Hulk
Iron Man
Nova
Rocket Raccoon/Groot*
Spider-Man
Thanos
Thor
Ultron
*Rocket Raccoon and Groot, although shown in the most recent trailer for the game, were not confirmed as characters. The leaker noted in his list next to Rocket/Groot that "This is how the character was named to me; I’m not sure if it’s just Rocket Raccoon with Groot assists or a redesigned character actually called Rocket/Groot)."
SEE ALSO: Finally! 'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' shows off some big upgrades. The list has 23 characters, although the leaker said one is missing from the Capcom side, possibly Frank West. Even so, 24 characters would be a considerably smaller roster than Marvel vs. Capcom 3's original 36 (later beefed up to 50).
Notably missing from this list are any X-Men or Fantastic Four characters, which may have something to do with how those Marvel characters are licensed differently.
More notable character exceptions from previous MvCgames includes Iron Fist, Ghost Rider, Phoenix Wright, Venom, Viewtiful Joe, Modok, Taskmaster, and She-Hulk.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is scheduled to release Sept. 19 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
