Get your tents ready,Romantic comedy Archives Apple fans: There will be iPhone X devices to buy in stores on Nov. 3.

Apple announced in a newsroom post that Apple Stores will have the iPhone X in stock and available for walk-in customers during its release event. This answers a lingering question about retail availability following reports that the phone's troubled production yielded an extremely limited supply for the initial release, with only 2 to 3 million devices shipped to Apple's distribution network.

Apple acknowledged this, urging those who aren't planning to join the projected 50 million-strong pre-order queue to "arrive early" for a shot at a device in-store on day one, meaning that the typical iPhone release frenzy that we didn't see during the iPhone 8's drop in September will likely hit the sidewalks outside of Apple Stores in full force on Nov. 3.

The company also opened up an early pre-approval sign-up for pre-orders through the Apple Store app yesterday, giving Apple iPhone Upgrade Program enrollees the opportunity to skip a few steps when pre-orders go live on Oct. 27.

We reached out to Apple reps to find out exactly how many units might be available in stores, but they couldn't comment on the matter.
