The series parallels the dazzling rise, tempestuous politics, and eventual spilt of the eponymous band, one widely known as a proxy for Nicks' own Fleetwood Mac — Reid was inspired to write the book after watching Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham's now iconic 1997 live performance of Rumoursclassic "Landslide". In the show, lead actor Riley Keough plays homage to Nicks as frontwoman Daisy, with Sam Claflin as a Buckingham-inspired frontman/guitarist Billy Dunne.

Keough reacted to Nicks' post with understandable emoji: "😍😍😍😱😱😱😱😱🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏"

In her post, Nicks paid tribute to her friend, Fleetwood Mac keyboardist and singer Christine McVie, who died in November last year after a stroke.

"I just wish Christine could have seen it," Nicks wrote. "She would have loved it."

Notably, Nicks' stamp of approval ended with something Daisy Jones and the Six's producers Hello Sunshine, Reese Witherspoon's production company, could potentially take to the bank, as the music legend wrote of the show, "Hopefully it will continue..."

Daisy Jones and the Sixwas released as a limited series and Amazon hasn't officially announced a second season, though the show's creators Scott Neustadter and Lauren Neustadter aren't writing anything off.

“We’re not giving up,” Lauren Neustadter told Variety. “I believe they will perform. The question is when.”
