Mumbai984 Archives India's financial capital and also home to its richest man, is the country's wealthiest city ahead of national capital Delhi and the IT city of Bangalore — also known as India's Silicon Valley.

Capital Delhi is home to 23,000 millionaires and 18 billionaires with a total wealth of $450 billion, while Bangalore with a total wealth of $320 billion houses 7,700 millionaires and 8 billionaires, many of which likely belong to the country's booming technology sector.

The report also ranked India among the top five countries in the world in terms of millionaire outflows. Around 6,000 uber-rich Indians changed their domicile in 2016, up 50 percent from the year before.
France, meanwhile, saw the maximum outflow of millionaires, with as many as 12,000 super-rich individuals leaving the country owing to rising religious tensions between Christians and Muslims, claimed the report.
India clocked an overall wealth of $6.2 trillion (as of December 2016) and is home to 264,000 millionaires and 95 billionaires.
“Over the next decade, India is expected to benefit from strong growth in the local financial services, IT, real estate, healthcare and media sectors... Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore are expected to lead the pack in terms of wealth growth," the report said.
