This year could cultivate eroticismbe shaping up to be a good one for Android Wear. We just got an initial look at at the first pair of Android Wear 2.0-ready watches from LG, and now Verizon has announced it's also making its own watch for the platform.
The company showed off a new LTE-enabled watch called Wear24, which will run Android Wear 2.0 when it goes on sale in March.
SEE ALSO: With Android Wear 2.0, Google targets the Apple Watch by imitating itThe watch, which was manufactured in partnership with Taiwan-based ODM Quanta, looks to be a tad less bulky than the LG Watch Sport, which will also be sold by Verizon.
The Wear24 sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display and, at 13.5 mm thick, should be a little thinner than LG's offering, which is made thicker by its heart rate sensor (the Wear24 doesn't come with a heart rate sensor, though it is Android Pay-ready with NFC.)
Like the LG Watch Sport, Verizon's Wear24 also has a rotating side button to support the new "rotational input" of Android Wear 2.0. And, since it's LTE-enabled, those who buy it will be able to use the same number for the watch as they do with their phone.
When it goes on sale in March, the Wear24 will cost $299.99 if you buy with a new contract and $349.99 if you buy without a contract (though, for the same price you could just buy LG's flagship, which has more features).
