Tis' (potentially) the season for John Krasinski to make millions of peoples' dreams come true.
Why?eroticism definiton Well, the man wants The Officeto come back for a Christmas special — a gift so great I might almost prefer it to a teapot containing his high school yearbook photo.
Rumors have been swirling in 2018 about a potential revival of the legendary NBC comedy, and while nothing's official yet, Krasinski told IndieWire he's definitely down to assume the role of Jim Halpert again, andeven has some revival ideas of his own.
SEE ALSO: A brilliant artist reimagined characters from 'The Office' as cartoons"I don’t thinkanybody in our show sees that we didn’t end it the way we wanted to end it. We’re one of the very lucky shows that got to end when we wanted to, how we wanted to," the actor told IndieWire. "So I don’t know how exciting it would be to do a run of the show, 'cause you don’t want to retread old things and have people not be as excited about it as they are now."
But Krasinski does think the perfect way to reunite with the Dunder Mifflin family would be to create an epic Christmas special, similar to the UK version of the show.
"I think the UK thing that I always have pitched and wanted to do is that Christmas special thing, where we do a Christmas special this year and then two years from now, or three years from now, we do another one," he said. "I love that idea coming back finding out where everybody is. I would totally be down for that."
HMM... you might be onto something, John. As a wise man named Michael Scott once said, "Christmas is awesome," and the holiday party episodes of The Officewere always the greatest gift of the season.
Via GiphyKrasinski is pretty busy now. He's a father of two girls and recently starred alongside his IRL wife Emily Blunt in his thriller, A Quiet Place, but rest assured he will always make time for The Office.
"It’s one of those things where I’m sure people don’t believe me when I say I would totally do it, because the truth is I would totally do it," he said.
"I remember talking to other people on TV shows and they were like, 'Fifth season, right? That’s when you all started hating each other?' and I was like, ‘No, was that when youstarted hating each other?’ and they were like, ‘Hell yeah, fifth season and I was like nope,'” he went on. "Right until the end, we were a family, we were emotionally connected, we all cried our eyes out on the last day. Yeah, we were all moving on to other things, but not because we wanted to get off the show. It was sort of a magical existence."
If you still aren't convinced Krasinski is down to return, he also recently told Ellen about his hopes for a revival, and no one lies to Ellen.
Your move, NBC.
