Last week, the former Republican presidential candidate and former governor of Massachusetts announced his plan to run for a Senate seat in Utah.

The prevailing wisdom was that Romney -- who would replace retiring Senator Orrin Hatch -- could serve as a stalwart Republican barricade against the president. I mean, less than two years ago, Mittens called Trump "phony" and "a fraud."

This came after Trump said Romney "choked like a dog" during the 2012 election.

Well, all that now seems to be sewage water under the crumbling bridge for the two frenemies. Trump gave Romney a ringing endorsement on Monday.

And Romney cordially accepted the endorsement an hour later.

How quickly Mitt Romney decides he's fine with the things Trump has said about the KKK, Muslims, Mexicans, and disabled people!

This flip-flopping was not missed by anyone.

Still, many people thought this was just old school, cooperative politics.
